For years, Harvest Creek Homeowners have been demanding financial and operational transparency of the Harvest Creek HOA. The loudest detractors like to scream “BuT iT's onLY 25 dOlLar$!
This is the favorite argument of numerous former Harvest Creek Board Members. And yet they NEVER provide a shred of evidence to support their “everything is fine” claim. The Harvest Creek HOA Board has refused to answer any of these concerns regarding the financial discrepancies. The Harvest Creek HOA Board has not completed the annual audit they previously committed to
Well it is not “only $25 dollars.”
Let’s do some basic math.
$25 per month X 12 months = $300 of dues per lot per year.
$300 dues per lot per year x 530 lots in Harvest Creek HOA = $159,000 per year in dues collected in Harvest Creek HOA.
$159,000 x 2 = $318,000 for two years' worth of Harvest Creek HOA Dues
$159,000 x 3 = $477,000 for three years' worth of Harvest Creek HOA Dues
$159,000 x 4 = $636,000 for four years' worth of Harvest Creek HOA Dues
$159,000 x 5 = $795,000 for five years' worth of Harvest Creek HOA Dues
Don’t forget that the Harvest Creek dues have gone down which means the amount collected for dues is even more that what is listed above.
So sorry, it is not only $25 dollars. Are these people insinuating that missing funds are fine in small amounts here and there and they are fine with their $25 being unaccounted for?
Dues are meant to maintain the Harvest Creek Homeowners’ Association. As many people have pointed out in recent meetings, the general consensus is that the quality of service in Harvest Creek has gone down significantly in recent years.
Don’t forget that this doesn’t take into account the monies collected for liens, late fees, covenant violations, Architectural Review fees, and random other items that somehow end up being charged to Harvest Creek HOA that did not originally appear in the contract or in any member approved budget.
It is not only $25.
