Trees and Attorney Fees

In the past, all trees purchased for Harvest Creek HOA have come from either the City of Bozeman Tree Share Program or were purchased directly from Lawsons/Hillside Greenhouse. Alanah Griffith is the Harvest Creek HOA attorney.
You might be asking yourself why are we talking about trees and the HOA attorney? How are these two things connected? That is the same question Harvest Creek HOA homeowners are now asking.
On March 24, 2021, Harvest Creek HOA paid Alanah Griffith $1072.50. There is no invoice from Alanah Griffith for the amount of $1072.50. There are no invoices from Alanah Griffith to Harvest Creek HOA during March 2021.
The only invoice that matches this $1072.50 amount is actually from Saddle Peak Properties for reimbursement for trees.
So let's recap, shall we? A $1072.50 invoice from Saddle Peak Properties for trees exists and Alanah Griffith was paid $1072.50.....for trees? Why is Harvest Creek HOA reimbursing Alanah Griffith for trees?
There are no records of any trees being purchased or planted at that time.

Clearly a simple mistake, right? No money was ever returned to Harvest Creek HOA from Alanah Griffith due to an accidental $1072.50 payment and no money was ever paid to Saddle Peak Properties for this alleged tree invoice.
So you have to ask yourself, why is Harvest Creek paying the attorney for trees that don't exist?
The Harvest Creek HOA Board of Directors has frequently said everything is just fine regarding Harvest Creek HOA financials but is it? Really? Paying attorneys for trees?
Did Harvest Creek Board of Directors knowingly allow money to be paid to the attorney for trees?
or
Is the Harvest Creek HOA Board of Directors not actually monitoring Harvest Creek HOA funds and not reviewing and approving all invoices to be paid and were thus unaware of the withdrawal of these funds that belong to Harvest Creek HOA homeowners to an attorney for a tree invoice?
